Perfect Actors and the Perfect Parts they’ve Played: Katie Hall as Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera
Katie Hall is the perfect Christine Daaé in my opinion.
She not only looks the part, but she also has a voice that’s powerful enough to take your breath away without sounding too mature. As much as I love love love Sierra Boggess’s Christine from the 25th concert, I prefer light sopranos for Christine. Sierra’s voice is a bit too mature. I mean, she’s so much better than Emmy in every way, but, as my roommate pointed out, she could potentially play Carlotta. (I really do love Sierra’s Christine, so no hating. I just think Katie is the perfect Christine). Katie, on the other hand, has a voice that is the perfect blend of youthfulness and training. She honestly fits the character perfectly because she looks young and then boom! There’s that voice. AND THEN HER TEARS OF HATE. OMGSH. PLEASE COME TO BROADWAY. K thanks. Though it’s kind of annoying that she is perfect in every role she plays. jkjk i love her so much.
